Mary Johnston, Stepmother in our 2009 Cinderella, is now a Freshman at Mary Hardin Baylor University where she is still part of a drama group. She is currently requesting sponsors for her May missions trip to the UK. Below is an excerpt from Mary's exciting email on the trip. Aaron Kenigsberg, shown in the Wiz, 2006, has starred in every play that Sparrow has done in the Coastal Bend since Alice's Adventures in Wonderland in summer 06. Aaron won a Sandy award last year, appeared in Annie and On Golden Pond at the Harbor Playhouse. This year we will all be going to see him as Jafar in Aladdin at the April performances at the Harbor.
Mrs PJ is currently teaching a bible study with Mrs Jeannie Wyatt at First Baptist Church of Aransas Pass. The bible study drama group is learning about putting on The Armor of God on Wednesday nights through Ephesians. The group will present a Musical "Assignment Life" on Mother's Day Weekend. A second rehearsal group is forming in San Patricio near Robstown/Callallen. Parents interested in having their children perform with Sparrow call PJ at 361 547 2585 or email pjciao@hotmail.com. The play is simple, the roles short, but effective, the music fun and uplifting. The message is moving. Join us before March 18th when lead roles will be assigned. There are 15 speaking roles for children from 6-13. All children will sing chorus, soloists will be chosen from ages 6-16. There is no tuiton charge.
